Stephen is the Chief Development Officer and Head of UGDC Development, a family office co-investment platform focused on the investment, development, and management of single-tenant, net-lease retail and industrial properties globally. Stephen joined UGDC in 2019 and currently oversees a team of professionals delivering world-class development services across the company’s broad portfolio of clients.

Stephen has extensive experience in delivering free-standing, ground-up projects as well as complicated tenant buildouts of urban properties across the United States and Canada. Stephen’s development career began as a commercial real estate broker in Greater Boston and grew into several corporate roles, including a long career at Darden Restaurants. He has developed expertise in strategic planning, development, design, construction, finance and leasing.

Immediately prior to working with UGDC, Stephen served as the Chief Development Officer of Vancouver, Canada-based Earls Restaurants where he successfully repositioned a tired but beloved brand through the thoughtful execution of award-winning architecture, design and real estate throughout the United States and Canada. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Marketing with an engineering focus.
